Butt Slapping

I read on AOL news today about two 13 year old boys from McMinnville, Oregon, who are being prosecuted as sexual predators. While in school, they slapped some members of the female sex on the butt. There are some additional allegations that they touched a breast, but it appears that the butt slapping is the bulk of the issue. Numerous students have stated that this is common behavior in the school.

Originally, they were charged with several felonies. The county prosecutor has now seen the light, and dropped the felony charges, and is prosecuting a list of misdemeanor charges that could result in a year in “juvy hall” and the boys being required to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives. An offered and refused plea deal would give the boys probation, but the sex offender registry would be required.

Let’s see. Today on television I saw a ½ hour infomercial for Girls Gone Wild. I saw a promo for show called LA Ink hosted by a fully tattooed babe named Katmandu. I saw numerous commercials for erectile dysfunction, so many it makes me wonder what I am missing. I also saw a commercial for a new female arousal product advertised with regularity at all times and on all shows.

I flicked over a show last night dealing with teenage girls coming on to teenage guys. It was disgusting and I didn’t get the name of the show. This week I have watched a show entitled My Super Sweet 16 in which the parents of spoiled teenage brats throw sweet sixteen parties costing a 100K plus. In one episode, 15 year old girls auditioned male “slaves”, ½ nude, to carry the 16 year old bimbo into the party like Cleopatra. Then there is a televisions show entitled Real World in which numerous, barely legal guys and gals share an extravagant apartment paid for by MTV (yes, those are unisex bathrooms and community showers). Mostly, this show is an orgy of drugs, booze, and who is sleeping with whom. Add into this television mish mosh the various hip hop videos, which are unabashedly pornographic. Oh yes, let's not forget those newsworthy role models Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Brittany Spears, whose stories have headlined the news these past several weeks. Has anyone watched Dirty Dancing lately? By the way, the above picture is from another MTV program called Newport Harbor. How do you like the girl in the pink?

Have any of you walked down school corridors as of late? Have you seen what the girls are wearing to school these days? Tight, low cut jeans showing off their Tramp Stamp. (Tramp Stamp: a tattoo placed above a girl’s butt crack to be displayed with low cut jeans). Of course, this is just one of today’s needed fashion accoutrements in addition to various parts of the body, seen and unseen, pierced by all types of various and assorted objects. At best, in school systems which want to teach sex-ed to kindergartners, our children are saturated in soft porn, and live their lives accordingly. A Colorado High School even brought students into a required assembly where they are told safe sex is a myth, and who needs a condom? Sex is better without protection, so live, live, live. I had to teach my son what oral sex was while watching The Today Show describing the activities of the President of the United States in the Oval Office. Why, then, are we prosecuting boys for what is normal behavior by any standard, reinforced by everything around them?

And the taxpayers' money is being spent on 13 year olds who slapped a girl’s butt? I would be worried if they didn’t slap a girl’s butt. Suspend them from school? Alright, that is an alternative. But to label them sex offenders for life? It would be funny if it weren’t so sad. My best wishes are with the lawyers who are defending these guys. I hope they win.
