Chicken Sandwich Politics

As our cities, and particularly Chicago, are collapsing around us, the thug Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emmanuel is worried about chicken sandwiches. If you want to know what is wrong with American politics, you need to look no further than liberal authoritarianism. These are folks who would use the power of government to turn off talk radio, prohibit opposition candidates from running ads criticizing an incumbent 60 days before an election (McCain-Feingold); and threaten businesses in their jurisdictions who oppose them. This is just a sample of the dictatorship of the left, whose opinions they have decreed should be dogma for all Americans.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and Boston Mayor Menino indicated that they would actively oppose the expansion of Chik-Fil-Lay in their cities because of this privately held company’s CEO’s open opposition to gay marriage, which by the way reflects the openly stated opinion of the current President up until he decided to motivate the left in the upcoming election by changing his stance a few weeks ago. It also represent the view of more than half the population of the United States.

Progressives are always more than willing to throw the Constitution under the bus to achieve their vision of society. What do the rest of us know? Nothing! We are too busy clinging to our guns and bibles shaking in our log cabins in the woods in fear. The arrogance of these smarmy bastards would be funny if not so dangerous to America’s core values of free speech and freedom of religion.

I am not so sure what motivated the Boston mayor. Perhaps he is trying to gin up the left in the hotly contested Senate race where a law school professor professing to be of native American descent when she is clearly not also demonstrates the progressive penchant for propagating lies to further their personal ambition. Tell the lie long enough and people will believe it.  Well....her family lore says she is a native American even though there is no proof...and she didn't use it on her job applicaitons to Ivy League schools for teaching positions even though she is carried as a minority professor on the school records even though she really isn't a native American....get it?

This is the perfect reinforcement of my belief that dictatorships are more likely rooted in left wing politics than right, and are more dangerous. Right wing dictatorships are rooted in violent and massive civil unrest and civil wars and greed. Left wing dictatorships are usually based in ideological belief that certain people know how to run a country better. While professing a firm belief in democracy, it is only appropriate so long as it supports their political agenda. Otherwise it is dangerous and needs to be silenced through groups like the Federal Communications Commission or through official thuggery squelching any active opposition to their beliefs.

I don’t really believe Mayor Emmanuel's chicken sandwich stance.  He is too smart and been in goverment too long to actually believe what he is saying.  It is an effort once again to motivate the left to come out and vote for a President who burst onto the scene in mythic proportions, has been brought down to reality as those who put him on a pedestal realize his ideas don’t work, and his incompetence is glaring.

When the public figures out that the emperor has no clothes, his minions will try anything to keep him in power. Even close a business that sells chicken sandwiches.
