A Big F'ing Deal

Paresh Nath - The Khaleej Times, UAE - Republicans win - English - Republicans, GOP, Capitol Hill, Congress, Senate, US Mid-term elections, GOP win
The chickens have come home to roost.  In my lifetime I have never seen the implosion of political party as happened yesterday.  From the top on down to local races, the Democratic Party is reaping the rewards of its assault on America these past six years.  This wasn’t a Republican wave.  It was a Republican hurricane.

Everywhere you look, red has covered all level of governments.  In addition to taking control of the Senate, the Republicans have gained additional seats in the House of Representatives.  Thirty two states now have Republican governors, including the bluest of the blue Illinois, Maryland, and Massachusetts.  In Ohio, John Kasich won most if not all counties, including Mahoning and Cuyahoga. The Republican Party controls more state houses than any time since the mid 1920’s.  Chris Redfern, the Ohio Democratic Chair, lost his own Ohio house seat yesterday and resigned as party chair this morning.  For the first time in over 140 years Republicans control all congressional seats from Arkansas.  The scope of this Republican resurgence goes on and on.  This from a party the media declared dying or dead.

In Mahoning County, Ralph Meacham, a novice Republican candidate who only got into the race 10 weeks ago, beat the incumbent indicted auditor.  Independent Rob Rusu, appointed just 4 months ago by Governor Kasich as Probate Judge to fill the judicial seat vacated by convicted felon Mark Belinky, successfully defended his appointment against Susan Maruca, the darling of the local Democratic Party, who had almost zero experience in probate practice.  Her campaign “it’s about family, not files” just didn’t cut it.

Racist Republicans sent the first Republican African American woman ever to Congress.  Racist Republicans elected the first black African American senator from South Carolina since reconstruction.  Mysogynist Republicans elected women Congresspersons, Senators, and Governors.  Old Republicans have elected the youngest female ever sent to Congress.  And homophobic Republicans have elected openly gay folks to numerous elected office including Congress.

Even today, the folks at CNN were trying to spin this loss as a “national trend” against incumbent officeholders as opposed to what it is: a repudiation of the progressive politics of deceit, division and hate.  Continually divide the population into smaller and smaller groups and pit them against each other, sooner or later you are going to piss somebody off.  Continually lie to the American public about thing after thing after thing, sooner or later the public will wise up.  Use duplicitous tactics against your opponents in Congress, you will be repaid in kind.  Be tone deaf to the people who elected you, and you will be thrown out of office.

Progressive ideology is ruthless, relentless, and unforgiving.  The end always justify the means no matter who or what is destroyed in the process.  The overall sense of they know what is best for you is narcissism off the charts filled with derision and condescension.  I can deal with a crooked politician.  I can deal with an inept politician.  I can deal with a lazy politician.  But God save me and the country from some smarmy politically correct narcissistic egoist of a politician who is hell bent on achieving a vision of liberal utopia no matter who or what gets in the way and who or what is destroyed in the process.

Barack Obama and his uber-liberal cabal of sycophants have finally had their come-uppence.  In the words of Joe Biden…this is a big f’ing deal.
