Hastert and Clinton and Hypocrisy
Last week Denny Hastert,
former Speaker of the House, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Chicago
for violating Federal banking laws and lying about it to the FBI. Hastert had been withdrawing large sums of
money from his personal bank account for a period of years. Cash transactions over $10,000.00 must be reported
to the Federal government. Hastert was
withdrawing $50,000.00 per. When
questioned by bank officials, Hastert then reduced the withdrawals to under
$10,000.00. That is against the law and
was reported to bank regulators. The FBI
questioned Hastert concerned that he was being extorted. Hastert denied giving
the money to anybody. Further
investigation discovered it was being paid to an unnamed individual who was
blackmailing Hastert related to “sexual misconduct” when he was a high school
teacher and wrestling coach prior to 1981. Total payments were $1.7 million.
Hastert and his problems
aside, this demonstrates the
omnipresence of the Federal government watching every move you make, including
your banking records. This kind of monitoring is un-American,
turning private citizens into unwilling spies for the Feds and innocent people
into criminals who get caught in the Federal web of this bureaucracy. No search warrant is needed for the Feds to spy on
your money. While the goal of stopping drug dealers is admirable, I submit that the true drug dealers are aware of the
policy and have the means by which to bypass it. It’s us regular schmucks who get caught in
this swamp.
Nobody really knows what
Hastert did when he was coaching and teaching school or the attendant circumstances. Lost in the government nightmare is that he
is a victim of extortion. Thus far no
indication has been made that the Feds will be charging the perpetrator of the
extortion as they concentrate on snaring a bigwig in screwball banking
regulations. They know who did it and are doing nothing about it. Shame on them. The victim is now victimized again.
As for the underlying
innuendos as to what Hastert did or didn’t do, there is a lot of
speculation. Was the recipient of
Hastert’s behavior male or female (unoffically it's a male)? What
was the nature of the behavior? Was
there only one individual involved or several?
We don’t know…and whoever was blackmailing him obviously was not
traumatized enough to not be able to extort money. Here’s a thought, the abused could have gone to
the police then…or now...and chose not to.
More disturbing is the
glee of the progressive left. Hastert is
a Republican…and somehow what he did is worse than the list of Democratic Party
perverts…you can view the list here.
Claiming that the Republican Party is somehow tainted by its belief in
family values they are screaming hypocrisy.
Actually, they got it
wrong. At least the Republicans know
what their sexual offenders did is wrong, and the offenders quietly withdraw
from public life. The Democrats, on the
other hand, know that it is wrong and don’t care. In fact, they re-victimize the victims. Just look at what they did to the recipients of
Bill Clinton’s peccadillos. They
demonized them to the point of oblivion. That is the real war on women. Then they foist these abusers
back on the American public saying don’t worry about it…they are really good guys. They keep re-electing them to office...over and over and over again. And people like Hillary Clinton stand by
their man!!
From Bill Clinton to
Anthony Weiner to Barney Frank…keep it in your pants. And please have the decency to go away. That is ultimate hypocrisy
of progressive sexual perverts.
